I had just one evening with clear skies during my entire trip to Botswana and this was the only animal we found during that golden hour of sweet light.
This little antelope was resting in the grass and very approachable.

beautiful, really love this one, great blur and colors. Maybe a bit more brightness in the right eye, just a bit of lightening to emphasize the two eyes.
Nice, simple image. I know that light, and it's hard to work with on the computer as you know that it looks a little fake, even if you also know that it's exactly how it was! I might consider reducing the purple on the nose of the antelope, but I would leave the rest as it is.

Hi Gail - beautiful light and Ed is right, you have to have experienced it to believe it. Nice pov, details and sharpness. I would reduce the magentas on the back of the steenbok in addition to the nose. It's a little centered for my taste so I would consider a crop from above and the right to move it off center. Easy tweaks if you are so inclined. Nice one overall.
Hi Gail stunning latest light on the little Steenbok .Agree with color suggestions made by Rachel and Ed .I am fine with the crop as is leaving a bit of space all around .
I am with Ed here regarding that golden light, I have captured a few similar images in the past and when I got home and viewed on the big screen I could not believe what I saw:)
I like this image, the RP is much better although I feel the blacks on the nose and eyes could be lifted a tad more. Nice detail in the fur and I am glad to see your RP has retained that incandescence of the late afternoon sun. Great POV, lovely pose from the little one.
Steenbokkies often freeze when they are seen, trying - or rather hoping - to blend with their surroundings. They are so small, and so cute. I think your image portrays the species very well and the colourful environment adds to the uniqueness of this image - well done!
Such sweet light on such a sweet subject, Gail.
Gotta use that light when you have it, especially during the onset of the rainy season...
Repost looks better to my eyes too.
