Cropped to pano, and the pier was really this wonky. Another from Algonquin. Added some textures, a new sky, poster edges, and some local adjustments. Cloned out some stuff on the lower edge and left one lone leaf on the RHS.

Hi Jackie, I like how the derelict pier inserts itself into this serene scene. To me it speaks to the impermanence of man-made objects as it is juxtaposed with the natural beauty of the lake and trees. Very nice!

Outstanding composition and nice muted colors. That orange, which adds a nice spark, goes very well with the blue of the sky. Including the pier was a great idea. It's a good lead-in and something unexpected.

Kerry, I like your interpretation of the image.

That rickety dock sure makes it look poor, awesome view. Love the reflection and trees. Certainly a lovely piece of Ontario, that's why we live here. TFS

    Jackie,

Greetings. The odd shape of the pier across the mirrored symmetry of the trees and shoreline is compositional perfection. The color's not bad either. Good show! Thanks for posting.

    Cheers,

Beautiful work. I love your processing--perfection. Fantastic details. I, too, like Kerry's interpretation.
I'm curious to know what camera and lens you used.

Anita, it was the Canon 5D mark III and the 24-105, @24. Thanks for your comment!
