A young male Kudu jumps a small water course, accompanied by fleeing Red-billed Ox-peckers, I love how the warthog below seems oblivious to it all.
No apologies for the Ox-pecker flying out his butt.

Also put my new D4s through it's paces and was very impressed over the improved AF & AF lock compared to my D4. With BIF it made quite a difference.

Hi Marc - Nice timing and techs look good. I'm not a fan of the oxp near the rear end but it was there. I'm not sure I would have noticed the warthog without your intro. If it were mine I would crop slightly from the top to remove the darker patch on the top left.
Nice action shot and fun image. I didn't notice the butt oxpecker initially!Too funny!
I am not loving the partially hidden warthog. I think the image would be stronger without him/her there. If I could see the face I would feel differently but without you telling me, I would not have known it was a warthog.
I also wish the road was not visible but accept that this was the scene!

Hi Marc a well timed action shot and i like the OPīs , but the warthog , does not really add much . Too hidden and showing the butt .In a really nice perfect world the angle of the Kudu would have been slightly more towards us , but hey not much you could have so no deal breaker .
I might sharpen the Kudu a bit more , if this was mine .
Indeed well-timed and I like the golden light, also, quite an amazing leap from a Kudu I think the warthog is oblivious to the scene because - unlike us - he has seen it all before
Nice to see the surprised oxpeckers flying in all directions, they seem to be wondering where the "host" is heading to...
I tend to agree with Andreas that the subject might benefit from a tad more sharpening, nevertheless this is one unusual capture and I am so glad you are enjoying your D4S, I am sure more special images to come and I am looking forward to see those!
Seems like you enjoy the new toy! I am testing the D810 in the Kalahari next week, so will have some more opinions to bemuse afterwards.
Nice timing and framing - though I would also support a slight crop from the top.
Looking forward to more from your recent trip...
