I am excited to have new images from Bosque to work on and share, hope you enjoy them. This one was shot with a 400mm lens, something I've been working on lately. We usually think of wide angle lenses for landscape shots but I enjoy doing things differently, as you all know.

For this one I used Topaz Clarity and Impression. I love the warm, autumnal colors of the refuge at this time of year - not spectacular fall colors like we see in the Northeast, but it all has a warm, earthy look and the cold crisp days are inspiring and invigorating.

I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving day and hope you find many reasons to be thankful.

I don't know why, perhaps because of its contrast with the other colors, but I think the whites add a lot to the appeal of this image. The oranges and blues sure work well with each other, and there's something special about that lone bird in flight. I hope to get out there some day.

I like the framing of leaves on both sides and sky, draws my eye to the centre of the image, the effect rocks...TFS

Lovely framing. I like that white tree that is a bit off center. The effects work well together. Beautiful colors. I find the mountains and sky a bit distracting and not quite fitting in with the mood of the image.

Hey Kerry. You made something nice from a scene I drove by about 60 times. I did do some nice video there on a cloudy day. Congrats on the vision and the processing, the latter perhaps a tad overdone for my tastes.
