Hi all another image of my Lion encounters in KTP , was the first one when Andre called me over the radio "Andreas come ......... quick, quick ....... lions at Kij Kij " .IN the heat of the moment i ****ed up the first images when they have been drinking because i was struggling with gear and car to get it all sorted .
Then the lions moved and we all moved with them , i calmed down and got some decent shots , still very excited though just firing without really checking the settings , all the time the same , think i will never learn that .

It was a very cool moment this big lion approaching me (at least i felt it that way ) and started that deep ROARING.............. goose legs coming , wow !!!!

    Hi Andreas,
The first thing I though when I saw this image was...WOW, no elephant poo in the image but then I read your post and saw that you cloned it out!!
I like the clean view of the lion and the forward movement portrayed. The image shows very well the way the lions walk with the paw inverted as they move the leg forward.
IQ is excellent with the fur details well imaged.
    Very nice,
    gail

Gail, no elephants in the Kalahari so it would be just antelope droppings that Andreas pruned out

Love the shot Andreas, few things beat a lion roaring right next to you. Sounds like the Kalahari delivered on this morning, properly!

Andreas, this is awesome. Love the pose, the open mouth as if he is roaring, the raised paw/walking pose and the colours looks great.

Thanks to all of you for your very nice comments , and i am glad you like this shot as i do. I agree it would be great to watch this image and have the roaring as an audio file attached .

Thanks to Morkel to clarify that there are no Ellies in KTP . So i cloned out some Bokkie droppings.

    Cheers Andreas

    Hi Andreas

Just a stunning image! I think I was videoing then, both the male and female were roaring. PP is stunning, even the poo on legs after the kill is very evident. His attribute shows he is king,
never sorry, not politically correct, don't give a **** about how you are feeling, NATURE!

You like cleaning up poo, sir... mr BE
    Regards

    Andre.

Hi Andreas - very nice image captured of a big male calling on the move. Was just wondering - did you work on the bg at all with a blur tool at all?
    Great tone and IQ too.

Sorry - been away a long while. And little access to internet.

Really like this image. Nice soft tones and you resisted the urge to over-do the contrast. He must be an old guy, looking at the teeth. Not much left on those bottom canines.

Great shot. Wish we had lions this big in Luangwa!
