Love to see birds in a relaxed puffed up pose, this certainly fits the bill for me, has it been bathing or in the rain?, would have been icing on the cake if it had looked at you, very nice indeed wish it was mine.
Tiny little nit and could be my monitor but the b/g green looks a bit bright.

A very wise-looking subject and interesting perch. I'd consider cropping a bit off the top and right, both to give the subject a greater portion of the image, and to remove some of the distracting elements in the top right corner.

Looks like it was preening with that fluffed up pose and falling feather debris. Neat perch. BG is good for the most part - just a few distracting elements along the top and the brightest greens could be desaturated a bit. Were you able to go to your left more? This would have allowed you to wait for the owl to turn its face towards the light to illuminate the eye.

Thanks a lot Daniel and Mike for your comments.
Daniel - No, there was no space to go left side any more. :(
As per your suggestions, fortunately, I am having the image of this fellow looking at me with his big eyes wide open.
Will try to post that next time.
One question Daniel, how do you do BG related things, like desaturation, noise reduction etc..? Coz I get a very hard time selecting this Owl, creating a new layer with that selection, on the selected layer, which contains only owl, I applied little sharpening... and the layer below that, which contains owl and BG, I applied NR.
Can you please guide me in such cases what is the easiest way ?
I used PS CS 6.0 for all of this...
