    Hello All,
First entry for Theme. I hope you will like it. This female sub adult cub was going away into the bushes from our jeep and was able to get it this much only in camera. I mean, I could not able to take full of her. In the evening light, the black stripes on her golden body were looking awesomely beautiful.
Only tried to sharpen using Unsharp mask and removed the noise using Topaz.

    Hi Shantanu,
    You have gorgeous light here.
I am afraid I am not loving this image.
A head turn to show the eye would have been really nice but as this stands I don't fell any connection to the image.
Compwise, I would include more of the body on the left and less on the right but I don't think you have enough DOF to get the tiger nice and sharp throughout the image.
Any more of this wonderful tiger?

ok Gail. thanks for the straight comments. I like it very much and that will only help to produce nice images.
I will try to post another image. Is it allowed to post a different image for 'Theme' ?

Hi Shantanu - first, I have to agree with Gail about the image. You needed more dof so that the entire tiger was sharp even if you did not get the head turn. It looks like your FP (focus point) was on the shoulder so that neither the head nor the body coming into the frame is sharp.

Yes, you can post a theme image each day of the month if you wanted to but it counts as your post for that 24 hour period.

Again, you will get much more out of BPN as well as more people commenting on your images if you participate in other people's threads as well.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Shantanu, sadly the image is not a 'keeper' in my book purely on the basis it is walking away from you, with no real content for the viewer to look at. In addition it's hard to tell if anything is sharp, I think you may need to increase the amount you apply, but remember to sharpen your image at the final 'output' size, the size you wish to view it i.e. 1200px x 848px and no need to change from 16bit tiff to an 8bit.

I full appreciate how difficult it is to get a 'clean' image without people or 'Gypsy' parts in view and getting worse I see, far harder than anything in Africa by far, but this is where you have to predict and get in position before others.

    BTW where was this taken?

Please post more and it would be good as Rachel mentioned, to post comments, thoughts, feedback on other threads too.

    TFS
    Steve
