    Default Falcon on the beach

This is another frame from the Juvenile Peregrine Falcon which I captured in Point Reyes on the CA coast. The juvenile was playing with a small piece of wood, catching it and then releasing as if it were prey.

    Hope you like this frame

Arash been looking at this for ages thinking is there any thing wrong with this, can't find a thing(maybe that leg ring)it really is excellent and gives lesser mortals as myself something to strive for.

    Cheers Keith.

    Great frame Arash.
Love your low POV and the soft light and the clean sand.
Nice to see a different pose and behavior for this lovely raptor.
The leg ring is a bummer to have but not a deal breaker for me.

Love this frame. The OOF sand works very well with the action of the subject

As usual tack sharp where it counts.

I like the IQ, details, pose, splayed tail, composition and complimentary FG/BG. A real beauty Arash.

Hi Ari, exquisite light and IQ in this, and just seem to nail the sharpness perfectly every time. Interesting to have captured this fellow on a beach.

A wall-hanger, for sure! Gorgeous subject, wonderfully raised foot, beautifully balanced composition, and feather detail. Too bad about the band, but it's a very small distraction.

    Sick image, as usual.

I was wondering: you seem to shoot more birds of prey in a week that I have seen over 4 years. Do you bait them somehow, or do you just happen to live in raptors paradise? And how do you manage to get this close? Do you use a hide? These birds normally take off whenever I get within 500ft of them!

    Hi P.-A.,
Thanks, these images were taken in a span of year, not a few weeks I just posted all of them together ;) as for getting close every raptor is different, I usually travel to places where the chances are best for a given raptor during peak season

    Thanks everyone for your comments

    Arash:

Great techs, pov, pose. Like the story about his playing with the wood, training so to speak.

The band is unobtrusive enough for me to not be a bother.

    Cheers
