Default Delievery - hoopoe male earns his female

The male delievered regularly, between two and four-five times per hour, most in the morning. (I have posted backlit hoopoes in the Europe-thread, see below.)
This photo will probably not do for my book this autumn, but chapter one shall be about the three important things for a male bird who wants to attract and keep a female happy: To be beautiful, strong and rich! (Rich is of course a metaphor.)

The nest is an old used cement round thing used for ditches when you wanr the ditch to go under a road (can't come up with an English word for it). Therefor hand of man.

I really do like this one.........can't believe it wouldn't make it in your book. Such wonderful colors and light. Certainly sharp and action filled. I think it's terrific. I think the word you were looking for in English to describe what creates a ditch under the road is a culvert. Well done.

This is a stunning action image with very nice color, BG(background), and very sharp. If this doesn't make the book I'd like to see the images that do.
