    Default Bar Headed Goose

    Not exactly where they should be living but I was lucky enough to come across one of the bar headed geese that live wild in the UK.
    This is a lifer for me so was a record shot as much as anything else.

    Nikon D7000 300mm f4 af + 1.4x tc. 1/1600 sec f6.3 ISO 400.

    Congrats on your lifer!
    A wonderful looking specimen.
    Image has good IQ. Just wish you had better light for this special sighting but it is what it is!

    As far as a record shot goes this does its job nicely. Artistically I'd have preferred a lower angle and better head angle. Congrats on the lifer, always fun to add a notch to the personal record books :-)

    Thanks for the comments. I know the image is nothing special artistically but it is always nice to just get an image of a bird for the first time. Hopefully if I come across one again it will do more than just swim around.
