Default Theme: Moonlight on the river

While in Alaska, I was hoping to photograph the aurora in the middle of this particualar night but found a bright moon and thick, but artistically arranged clouds. The strip at the bottom of the image is the river.

I converted the original image to b&w, added a layer of fractalius and simplify 4 (can't remember which setting), and a color gradient to the lighter areas that were clouds.

Tomorrow I'm off to Bosque for a week to photograph the annual migration of cranes and geese.

This is quite abstract and colorful. I like the black mountains separating the top from the bottom, and the black throughout the rest of the image ties it together very nicely. The curved lines are effective, and the light green in the sky is placed nicely in terms of composition.

Super image, I like it a lot! I love to see abstract images here, hope to see more.

I love the colours and the sky fanning out. Does it need a bit of straightening or is it my eyes. Beautiful abstract Nancy.

Stunning. The colors shimmer. I had to go back and look at the theme description when I first saw this. Amazingly creative work. I, too, wonder about a slight clockwise rotation.

Thanks all! I think it does need a bit of straightening as suggested.
