    Default Black Skimmer

From Brigantine, early one August morning. He was skimming against the outgoing tide, such that with my back to the sun, he was skimming away from me. Here I caught him making the return trip, as an alternative to one more skimming skimmer shot. I liked the way he seems to be floating over the water.

Bill I tried for these on my Florida trip, a bit fed up and green with envy after looking at this fine shot, excellent.

Beautiful shot. Love the crop, exposure is right on. Nice catchlight in the eye. Nice job!

I like the exposure, DOF and composition. Well done Bill.

Great shot Bill. Really sharp and seems to have good detail in the blacks and whites.

Very lovely bird, excellent light and with great eye contact. If mine, I would give a tad more room on right as the wing is almost touching the frame.

I like this a lot, Bill. The darker background, and the nice light underneath, really make the white belly pop! Very sharp, and I like both the crop, and the positioning of the subject in the frame.

Hi Bill, you certainly nailed this one. This had a real 3D effect, and the Skimmer is popping out my screen.

    One of your best IMHO.

Very nice eye level capture, Bill. Great eye contact, wing position, and lovely early morning light. I agree with maybe a bit more room on the right. Well done.
