    Default Hovering Rough-legged Hawk

    I was lucky enough to get close to this Roughie while he was hovering. Had to do a little bit of off-roading with a Chrysler 300.
    Nikon D4, 500F4, 1/1250@F8.0, ISO 2000, 3 EV, handlheld out of the car window.

    Looks great. I realized how rare they have been in Ontario, after checking on the fall migration report.

    I like the hovering pose though wish eye contact was stronger, good exp. details look soft to my eye and the sky is too saturated which distracts a bit reducing sat. will help here

    Looked through all my images none showed better eye contact. This was the bird hunting. Sharpened and toned down the blue a little.
