600 + 1.4xTC.. 1DM2n. Full Frame
Sometimes you have to make your own fun! I saw this through the viewfinder, while trying to get White-crowned Sparrows earlier in May in my backyard, and couldn't resist!
Happy Shooting

Hi Brandon, EXP good and a good try but not very well executed. (Having all the techs would help us to help you...).
1-When creating images of birds from behind, you need to use lots of extra d-o-f; the wing feathers here are totally o-o-f.
2-The spot where you chose to end the frame leaves and awkward COMP. I think that the repost might have been what you were going for and eliminates most of the problems above...

Artie makes some excellent points as usual Brandon. DOF is key here, and where you don't have enough, crop. It's an unusual but striking perspective that you've captured here, a real bird's-eye view!
Hi Brandon,
Agree with above critiques but would add..........I'm not a huge fan of rear shots..........can use them to end shows...........but not much use for them otherwise. For me........this is a delete........although you did choose an excellent BG.
