Wow Carl, nice look at the little Rhino with clean surroundings! You have some great details here and the angle is very nice.

What a cutie!
I think you can make him pop a bit more by darkening the lighter tones in the grass around him, Carl.
I also think there's a very slight green tinge to the rhino?

Hi Carl, great low shooting angle here, together with a good angled pose from the little tank. Love the grass in his mouth.

Actually loving the overall contrast, pastel tones really do work on this. I feel like I was there! :)

Hi Carl - One of your best for me. Great to get the youngster out in the clearing with its head up. I like the angled pose. Love the grass coming out of the mouth. Colors and tones look good to me (not seeing the green cast Morkel referred to??). Btw I added the "theme" prefix because IMHO the mud covered textures certainly qualify for this month's theme. I do think it needs some ccw rotation though it may have been standing on a slight incline.
TFS,
Rachel

Nice one Carl. I like the grass filled mouth, the curved trail, and the color and look of the BG grasses.

Hi Carl very lovely clear shot , love the grass sticking out of the cuties mouth.
I am actually thinking , as per description , you need to go darker and less saturated . But that is just taking your words . Very nice details on the Rhino .

Hi Carl
When I view this on your monitor on Sunday, it looked like it had a green tinge on the big monitor, not so much on the MB pro with the smaller screen.
Viewing this image on my MAC, NO green cast?! Is there not a standard for all monitors..
Love this little one, well captured AND processed, stunning detail and good contrast.
IMHO the image does not need rotation, look at the floor behind him.
Was this close to the dam?

Dear Carl,
The first thought that came to my mind when I saw this image on Sunday was " Little Golden Rhino with a Small Rock". Sweet indeed, and also kind of "frozen in time" as if he saw you and stopped in its tracks, unsure what to do...Love the title, by the way:)
Carl, I wish to thank you again for sharing with us your knowledge of the bush and the wildlife in it. Unselfish and so patient, you never said "let's go home" - hours passed and as we sat in the open vehicle surrounded by lions (they were about ten of them spread all over the place and lying in the shade of nearby bushes) the sun peered through the clouds and sometimes it was really blazing hot...I would like to think you enjoyed being there just as much as we did. Or maybe you understood how precious those moments were to us. We are so privileged to know you, and so grateful- Thank You.
Back to your image, I think you brought out some lovely textures when it comes to the little rhino, I do not see the green cast on my screen as I look on my monitor, and the pink soil looks just right to me. Like the framing and presentation, sharp where needs be, lovely detail all around, Well Done, Sir!
Affectionately,
