    Default Common Redpoll Blush....

There is a time in the early of spring, before these little bundles of joy depart the winter landscape of my home in Northern Minnesota, where the males will sport beautiful blush plumage. It's early spring, and the buds on the willows are just beginning to open. Canon7d, Sigma50/500os, iso400, 1/800, small crop, USM to subject and perch only. Comments and critiques welcome. Food used as an attractant. Perch was set up by feeder.
    Comments and critiques welcome.
    Regards,
    Shawn Zierman.

This winter's "forecast" calls for some of these showing up here...and this image has me crossing my fingers for it to happen! Excellent perch and BG, and I love the placement of the redpoll high in the frame. Really well done.

Great image Shawn. I Like everything, the bird, the perch, the background. This is one bird I have never been able to find yet.

As good as it gets with this bird- normally stuck at the tops of trees when I see them., nice clean BG that compliments the birds colours, well composed and good detail.

Great image Shawn! I like the perch, IQ, pose, details, exposure, complimentary BG and composition. The buds just beginning to open really add to the image.
