Hi Guys, I normally hangout in the Landscapes forum, but wondered what you thought about this... I took it in my back yard last weekend, sitting on top of a step ladder to get closer to level with a group of lorikeets feeding on the bottlebrush next door. The ladder was right next to the pool and while perched on the ladder waiting for a pose, I suddenly realized I was not particularly secure and this could all go so very wrong... luckily it didn't... Note to self... don't do this again...
Would have preferred the body was better separated from the bottlebrush but...

Well done Don. Your balancing act on the ladder sure paid off. Lovely colourful bird and tack sharp. A very lovely image. Well done and thanks for sharing
What a rush of colours! I agree with your self critique about the subject/perch merge but man is that bird a beauty! Very sharp as posted. The oof fg twig is unfortunate, and I would have liked amore room in front of the subject.
