    Not in the best condition but I had never seen these before other than in a book, I will return to see if I can get better specimens.
    (next time I will take my little scissors with me and avoid those snapped off blades of grass!)

    These are unusual looking! This would be a good place to try stacking or taking 2 images, each with the focus on a separate fungi. Then merge the 2 together so both fungi are in focus. The details in the right fungi look great. I like that single red berry for a little color. I will google "earthstar" to learn more.

    I think nancys got it about right. She beat me to it. Absolutely perfect static subject for stackng- especially as you had your tripod. I/d go for at least 5 layers @f5.6 or 8

    Fascinating shrooms. I was unaware of these. I am for the stack, too.
