Great fall colors and subject. Head looks a bit soft and maybe a bit too much contrast?

Great shot John, lovely colours on the bird, blends well with the BG. Good capture. Never seen one up here yet

Hi John, your images are always so full of colour, and this one is no different. The HA in this works well, and agree, a touch of selective sharpening on the head wont harm.

Hi John. Your approach to backgrounds has really been paying off in your recent images. I love the leaves here, and in your woodpecker post. Nice pose, comp, exposure. Yes to a bit of selective sharpening on the head.

Very nice setting with wonderful seasonal colours. Good pose by the subject. Techs look great to me, just a bit more sharpening, as already mentioned, to improve on an already solid image. I do wish it had perched at the very top of the perch though, but still good as is.

Love the colors and the IQ.
I prefer the OP as the head area appears to be " foggy" yet sharp in the repost ( hope you know what I mean)

Great image of a really nice bird John.
The Autumn leaves compliment it well.

    Repost looks way better John!
Nice bird and good head turn, the BG is a bit busy for my taste but I like the combination of colours in the image.

I love this image! Both this image and your previous woodpecker image show such a strong personal sense of style! They have an illustrative quality...it's different in a great way. Lets see some more please!
