Golden early morning sunlight bathed these white pelicans at the J.N. "Ding" Darling NWR, Sanibel Island, Florida.

Comments and suggestions are as always welcome.

    Hey Norm,

Quite a capture! I think it needs just a tad of CCW rotation (based on the ripples), but otherwise i'm not sure I'd change a thing. The comp is great, and I'm a fan of the second pelican in the photo.

Hi Norm, certainly sweet light which in turn has brought the whits out nicely. I like the different preening poses from both Pelicans, and I feel since the reflections are not that clear, I would crop up from the bottom. Another vote for a touch of CCW rotation.

My first reaction, after loving the photo, was that it needed a bit of rotation. I love the comp as is and feel the reflections are important to keep in even if they are not clear. I think that the water is a bit too yellow though...adding about 15 points of blues in "Colour Balance" does the trick IMO but this is pretty subjective. Nicely seen Norm and you did a great job overall!

I'm with Daniel on this. I think the reflections, even though not clear, add to the amusing composition. In all, I like it!

Just enough reflection to add extra interest to what already is a fine image, the light really makes it for me.
