7DII Eagle first real try with DPP

My first real try using DPP on a raw file.Had to add a sliver of canvas to the top as the tips were right to the frame edge but other then that it's full frame. For a new camera and new software I'm pretty happy. Canon 7DII 500f4 +1.4 extender- iso800,f6.3@ 2500sec

Looking good Joe I like the white colour going into the detailed chest. The bird is perfectly sharp IMO. Yes very nice. I am glad you posted this Joe, as I have just ordered the Mk2 and I also will be using it with the f/4 500 and 1x4iii. Looking forward to it even more now Well done and thanks for sharing

Looks good to me too. Sharp and well exposed, with great wing spread and flight position. Interesting bird: he seems to be a full adult (4th year+?) except for his tail which isn't white. Is he not fully mature, or has he been dragging his tail in the red dirt?

I like the pose, here, good exposure. processing wise there are a few issues, bird is overall a bit soft (needs more fine sharpening) and the whites look a bit grey. there is a subtle halo around the bird.

I think this will work better in a vertical presentation (+ adding canvas on both ends)

Joe, really digging the wing and tail spread. I think you can pull out a bit more detail and add some midtone contrast to the body to really make this a killer image.

Bill the red on the tail is fish blood. Shot it at Conowingo about the only place you have a realistic opportunity of capturing them fishing in this part of the country that I'm aware of.
