    Default Common Grackle

Yesterday morning, my feeders were suddenly besieged by hundreds of Common Grackles. I caught this male just after he took off. He flew out of my frame, so I had to add significant canvas to the left (including a bit of his head) from a prior frame, as well as top and bottom. Although they're real pests, they can be quite handsome.

Well done on the processing Bill! I like the wing position and curled feet. I agree they are a handsome bird.

A wonderful flight shot Bill. You even got the iridescence in the head.

a tough bird to get in flight and you got him sharp with a nice BG. the iridescence is really nice. might consider brightening the belly a tad

Very nice Bill. Great looking pose and I too like the fact that you got some nice iridescence on the neck and that yellow eye really pops well. The techs and details look good and the BG clean sets him off nicely. Well done
