Another from the den in the Timbavati Game Reserve, South Africa. This was one of the cubs who was a few months old at the time. Taken at about 4:30 pm as the nice light was starting to hit the den site.

Wow great eye contact here Rachel. I like the vertical comp, the details, the colours everything. Nice one.

    Hello Rachel,

This is really a cute little cub, and am I glad I did not post my ugly hyena next to it:))

Lovely warm light and the pose is very sweet; I like the detail, love those little paws, cub so nice and relaxed and there's eye contact too. The vertical framing works for me here, nothing to distract the viewer in the FG or BG and my eyes focus entirely on this little bundle of fur and its two little black pearls (the eyes).

You know I love these little guys and I really appreciate the opportunity to view another image, looking forward to more if you have

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

These little cubs are so adorable. Always like it when the rangers take us to the hyena dens; the cubs are so inquisitive and cute. Great processing here to handle the light and shadows - well done.

Hi Rachel, excellent detail on the cub, well exposed, and I like the 'dusty' nose. The little guy certainly seems inquisitive with that stare, and he blends in nicely with the sandy enviroment. Great angle shooting from the vehicle.

Nice composition. Like the eye contact and especially the toes. Don't usually see their toes so well.

Hi Rachel, these guys, this one in particular, were really very cute and obliging and this one just adored being shot I feel.

Both angle of the incline it was lying on and your position, created a very nice composition, although I still think you could still loose some off the top, but your call.
