    Hi all

Been a while since I last posted as spent a month in Peru getting eaten by mosquitos in the jungle and then trekking in the Andes :)

I have a whole load of jungle images I am working through, but thought I would share this nice little wren taken on a hike here in Spain this weekend

I had to drop the shutterspeed dangerously low for handheld with no VR but i managed to nail the bird in a short moment it stopped on this branch

    Nikon d800e
    300f4 + 1.7x TC
    f6.7
    1/500
    ISO 800
    Handheld

    Cropped vertical

Usual levels and NR on BG. Two rounds of sharpening, one on the subject and perch and the second just on the subject

    Thanks for viewing

Great detail on the wren Shane, and I like the 3d effect of the oof foliage in the lower right, but unfortunately for me the bird is on the wrong side of the perch, and with it cutting through the wren it doesn't really work for me

Hi Shane, the little certainly chose a decent size perch to drop by, just big enough for him to wrap his feet around. Good DOF on the Wren, sharp, and I like the 'swinging' pose. Nice distant BG, but do find the OOF foliage LRC a touch distracting.

Great job on getting this ever moving little bird steady. Nice image.
