high key little egret - 7d MkII

I was playing around with the new 7d MkII for the first time over the weekend. Unfortunately weather conditions were pretty rubbish and I had very few opportunities to get used to the camera and get any half decent photographic opportunities. Consequently I tried to be creative with what I had.
I am not sure if the image quality is good enough for this to work but thought I would post it anyway and see what others have to say.

Richard:
Nice full up wing position, angle in frame, love the translucence of the near wing.
In a perfect world, a little more detail on the back wing would be nice. Not always easy with these lighting conditions. If you have Nik filters, a little detail extractor might tease out some more structure on that back wing.
I appreciate having to work with less than ideal light, as my last post discussed. Makes you think and work a bit harder!
Cheers

nice pose and I like the soft light, but I don't see detail in the whites, especially the far wing. I would crop tighter if have pixels to work with

Hi Rich, congrats on the new toy. Yep, last weekend's weather wasnt great for trying out new toys, but I do like the wing position, and high key effect. I agree the far wing has no detail, but there are plenty more weekends to go back and get more shots.
