I had a visitor today early afternoon.
I went up to the second floor, carefully opened the window and took some pictures.
It was kind of raining on and off.

Wow Karl you get some cool visitors to your garden - how good is that!!
I love the soft colours afforded by the overcast sky and great BG as well!

good pose and sharp details, a bit head turn towards us would have made it even better. there are some processing artifacts where the orange meets grey at the bottom of the frame

What a beautiful image, Karl. Wonderful detail, and super BG. Like that you also captured some streaking rain. The light is exceptional. Can't miss those talons.

What a great opportunity, Karl. Your pose really shows off this raptor well and the colors are striking against that pastel BG.

Lovely image Karl, BG is brilliant and the facial detail is awesome. Would have been nice to push the fstop up to 7.1 here but I guess light was not allowing. TFS

Killer Karl!! Love these little Accipiters and I have had many nice juvenile females like this. They are great little hunters. Nice colors and details. I might remove the few raindrops as there aren't enough of them to make it look right. Very nice find.

I like the sharpness, low light, details, clarity and composition. A bit more of a head turn would be nice but I would still love to have this in my files. Well done Karl.

Agree with the comments above! Lovely raptor captured in gloomy conditions which really make the yellows pop-out. A bit more DOF has also been mentioned but conditions were probably not ideal for that
