    Default Urban Zombie

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long absence but I've been creating digital and mixed-media art, not working with photos at all since late August. I have created and framed 6 artworks for the holiday ArtFordable exhibit at our Arts Center that runs to the first of Jan. and done others that are just matted plus note cards for their gift gallery. I sold a framed print at the opening Thursday night, yippee! I missed getting this in before the deadline yesterday but this is one I did for fun for Halloween using a downloaded "threshold image" of the zombie and the urban art preset in Impression. The background is one of my Gelli Plate monoprints.

Great for Halloween. Love, LOVE the bkgd colors & textures with the black zombie! And those eyes are truly fierce in their zombie-ness! Although I am sure those things around his neck are supposed to be teeth of some sort, since they are fiery colored they remind me of hot chilies and add a bit of humor to the fierce face! Great quote in the corner!

Congrats on selling a print and creating all that artwork for the exhibit! Maybe you can photograph some of your work for us to see.

Thanks much Nancy! Well duh, when I was doing it, being a chili-head, I thought they were chilies which makes no sense. After it was done I realized my mistake, but I liked them red anyway!

I have photos of my work here https://www.flickr.com/photos/msippi...7645213606693/ including those displayed in the gallery. Thanks for asking to see them! The album has all of my digital collage and painted artwork. I use digital collage kits that I purchased for most of the collages, I didn't create the graphic elements.

Outstanding! This really is scary. Yikes. It is hard to look at. Everything works well--the black face with those horrible eyes, the brick wall, the colors.
Congratulations on selling a piece of art work!
Thanks for posting a link to your work. It is amazing. Very creative and fun.
What is a digital collage kit?

Thanks Anita, it was fun! Digital collage AKA scrapbooking kits are available at many sites but the one I love is http://www.mischiefcircus.com/shop/ I have purchased many kits there. Most are only $3 to $6 each! My favorite designers are 2CurlyHeadedMonster Designs who just joined them last week and I already bought 4 of her kits, Crowabout Studio, itKupiLLi Imaginarium, and Tumblefish Studio. They are categorized by designer on the left if you scroll down a bit.

Straight out of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. Those eyes are definitely possessed and the bg gives it an urban graffiti look.

Although this isn't my cuppa tea, it's spellbinding. The combination of the silhouette and the colors is very effective, and those eyes are riveting. Nicely done.

Congratulations. I thought this was the scariest of the images posted.
