    Taken the other day,would you keep it or bin it,I tried lightening the shadow under the wing,but it did not look right,so left it as is,what do you think,comments good or bad.cannon500IS,L,F4,7D,hand held,iso400,F8,1/1250S,crop,sharpened,levels.

    Keep it without hesitation, it looks fine to me, there is not much light under the wing so it looks perfectly natural to me. The head is pin sharp, it could so easily have been soft, I like the surroundings to. I also like to see his furry boots.

    I wouldn't worry about getting any more detail, but would have wished he was flying toward and not away. Really like the vegetation showing through.

    I would certainly keep this, flying birds are something that I don't have, when I get one I might be able to critique others, think flying over that grass makes the bird pop.

    very nice bird in habitat frame, I wish wings had a better position and the bird is not showing much detail. My guess is that it's a very heavy crop already...

    Thanks for looking and comments everybody,appreciated,its not a very heavy crop Arash,I seem to lose some quality after upload,even with some extra sharpening to upload on here,I will have to try harder,thanks again.

    Nice looking take off pose on this one Chris. I like the natural setting for this species. I like the splash of red in the brow. Well done
