Yessir, no citations from HAP today :)
This was a grab from the van as I was driving around a small lake.
So much a grab, that I had to rotate 6 degrees and fill in the canvas.

    removed some twigs etc

Terrific capture of the action, Dave. Very nice detail in the wings.

Good job for a grab shot the tough exposure looks great! The dragging feet are pretty cool. I'b tempted to add a bit of canvas at bottom.

    thanks Gayle and Daniel.....point noted.
I have really been doing better lately giving space to the images.....looks so much more natural than a tight crop

Very nice action captured and good detail in the whites. The splashes from the feet are a big plus. Looking carefully at the splashes, and assuming that they should be approximately level with each other, I think the image could benefit by some CW rotation. Well done.

I am thinking that this is pretty much a perfect image. Love the squiggly curved splash and the great wing postion. And oh yes, the head angle is perfect as you noted! Way to go.
