This is the same "very happy" individual from yesterday's post, but this time it is in serious swimming mode. This is basically a full-frame image as it passed by me as I was lying on the edge of the shoreline giving me a sweet low angle. I got a multitude of similar poses, with only the waves and splashing on the chest changing...this one being my favorite of the sequence.
Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/250s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, small crop after slight image rotation, darkened the pupil, a few flecks on the feathers removed via spot removal.
