    Default Brown Thrasher

I was hanging out in the early morning, hoping for some unusual sparrows along the forest edge, when this guy posed nicely for me. Usually this species stays just out of range, and even here it's a bit of a large crop. I was glad to get this pose, but I also hoped he would turn and give me a sideways look showing his long tail. But this will have to do.

Hi Bill, nice complementary colours in the background and nice feather details.

You seem to have a few hot spots on the breast which you might want to cool a notch or two.

Not a species we get to see over here...!

    Thanks for sharing,

    Gerald

This species is normally very shy up here too, so I can imagine how happy you are with this one. Perhaps in the future you will get a good image like this of one but without the large crop (but it held up nicely, at least for web presentation). Very nice colours in the BG, you may just want to slightly blend in the darker area above the head.

Not an easy bird to get a clean shot of. Nice work Bill.

A very nice composition of this interesting looking bird Bill. The warm tones of the head work well with the similar tones of the BG. Nice one!
