I like it very much, I did wonder about trimming a little off the base but I think the crop is about right. Great pose and position, I think I would try to lift the darkest areas just a little bit.

Hi Chris, as perfect angled pose you could ask for, and I like the colours on this fellow. Great OOF BG. I would also take some off the bottom, but then maybe add to the top.

Like the frame, BG, light and colors. Would like to see more of legs, it seems a little bit of sharpness is missing. TFS.

    Cheers,

I like the lead in with the green mosses and the way the foreground grasses frame the Grouse. Nice colour and feather detail.

Pose is straight off the whisky bottle!

    Well done!

Typical Grouse pose that looks great, habitat, exposure and feather detail all good, may be a little more usm on the head but that could be my eyes Chris.

    Cheers Keith.

Great pose on his little knoll. Nice habitat. Yes, I could see a bit off the bottom, and added to the top. It feels to my eye that you could pull a little more detail out of him. eg. Topaz Detail, or NIK, or maybe just a little more USM.

beautiful portrait blended with elements from the habitat. I agree the fine details on the bird are a bit lacking.

Great looking grouse pose. Looks like a century bird. I like the green tuft he is standing on and he looks so regal. Nice BG colors too. Sharpening mentioned. Well done Chris
