    Default Coot in Setting Light

Another common subject in FL that is normally overlooked. With the dark feathers, it's usually a bust in anything but even light. I took advantage of the setting sun's light to capture this image. The trees around the bank provided a nice green reflection.

Lovely light and green encircling your coot with a lot of feather detail. The black on parts of the coot appear to have a greenish/yellowish cast, probably from the water. I'm wishing for a tad more space above.

Thats certainly a coot image with a difference Miguel! The warm lighting really enhances the normally dull plumage, and the green/yellow water makes a great canvas backdrop. love that eye!

Hi Miguel, great HA, and love the light in this. I do like how the light is varied on the Coot's body, and the texture of the water works well.

Excellent detail. Love the way the red eye stands out against the black plumage and green water. I might crop a little off the bottom of the frame.

One of the nicer Coot shots I've seen. Gorgeous water, nice red eye and light on the bird's face. Wouldn't have minded seeing just a little more detail on his dark end, but in a way the side lighting is part of what makes the shot special.
