    Default Black-headed Trogon

I am fairly new here, thought I would try posting in Avian instead of ETL. Here is a shot from Belize. The Trogon was in the shade, and a good distance away. D7100/300mmf4/1.4xTC SS 1/500 f/5.6 ISO 1250. Natural light and handheld. PP was some shadow recovery, crop, +1 saturation, NR on BG and cleanup of a few dark BG spots, removal of small branch on left side.

Hi Walker, welcome to the avian forum!! Beautiful species and you have rendered its colours very nicely, it gave you a nice look back pose too. Great blues, and I like the feather detail on the back. Vertical composition good. A bit of noise showing on the blacks and creeping up in the BG too (especially the darker areas near and around the head).

Welcome to the avian forum, and what an amazing bird and image. Love this bird against the green background (BG). Nice pose and you did a great job getting enough DOF to have the bird sharp from the top of the head to the tip of the tail. I agree on the noise in the image, but that's not a difficult fix.
