    Default Limpkin Portrait

A very tame Limpkin decided to preen just feet from where I was shooting. Couldn't pass the portrait opportunity up! At such a close distance with a long lens, I was able to make minor movements on my end to greatly affect the background. I chose this one where the background was broken up with a bit of sky as my favorite.

    Shooting Info:
    Canon 5D3 | 500 f/4 + 1.4x

Good one Miguel, looks like one from your Florida trip. This year there were so many Limpkins at Circle B we had to shoo them out of the way.

Terrific portrait, Miguel. Love the comp, great light, detail and lovely bg. If this is Circle B, I've got to go there.

Loely portrait Miguel. Well balanced comp with that long bill that could have posed a problem - but you did really well. Looks like you would have had enough light to stop down even more to get the wing within dof too, but I like it as is too.
