    Widespread through Australia and New Zealand, also found in E Europe, Africa, Asia, SE Asia and New Guinea. Shot taken on a dull day, mid-afternoon.

    Canon 5DIII + 600 mm f/4L II + 1.4x III, hand-held from car window.

    Manual, spot metering, spot focus, f/6.3, 1/2500 sec, ISO 1000.

    Processed with DPP4 and PS Elements.

    One of the best images of the Pipit that I've seen Ian.
    Excellent detail and I love the low perspective, that magic head turn, the lichen covered rock and superb BG. Well done!

    All I know about Pipits is that they are sods to ID !!- even the few we have.

    Very nice Ian. Looks like he posed for you on an ideal perch and gave you a nice head turn. Focus is spot on, and details throughout are great.
