    Did a little bit of experimenting with a flashlight on this accommodating Eastern Screech Owl. The lighting gave the image a rather ominous feel reminiscent of this spooky, yearly celebration. Hope you all have a safe and fun-filled Halloween!

    C & C are always welcomed and much appreciated.

    Canon 1D4, Canon 500L
    F10, 1/20sec, ISO 800, manual mode
    Flashlight taped to a 2nd tripod

    Very spooky indeed. The shadow is a clever innovation and I am glad you did not try to change the colour temperature in processing. Very effective capture, well done. Regards, Ian

    Hi Marina, I really like the warm glow in this, and great use of flash too. Great eye contact, and I like how the Owl is peering out from his 'dark' nest.

    Halloween is not big over here, so hopefully you guys have fun there.

    Great effect Marina ! Great lighting. Your traditions have caught on bigtime here and people keep jumping out of bushes dressed as skeletons !! Very frightening !!!
