    Default Mallard Flyby

    Just a mallard hen--
I was intent on some birds on the darker water, and this one all of a sudden sprang up--hence a high ISO image.

This is a very pretty capture, Bonnie. There is not anything that I can see about it that I would comment negatively on. Seeing that it is at such a high ISO did you apply noise reduction in the background? ...how about to the bird itself?

    Bonnie,

A very nice composition. Everything is nice about this image. I would have loved to see a wee bit more room on the left side of the frame, but that is a personal preference. I would frame it and hangf it on my wall anytime. Excellent creation and thank you very much for sharing.

Love the image Bonnie Excellent reflexes Nailed that bird !!!!!! Just taste but would crop a tad from the bottom to give it a more dynamic look and maybe a tad up front Its really getting picky The one thing would have been great is more dof You had lots of shutter speed One fantastic image Big Congrats !!!!

Hi Geoff, thanks for the compliment.
Yes, I applied some NR to the bird and to the background as well. The exposure was not ideal on this one. The image was underexposed, bringing it back up brought out the noise.

Very nice pose and eye contact. I agree with Al regarding wider DOF.
