A beautiful image I have one tiny reservation, the head is pointing at right angles to the camera if it was just slightly towards the camera I think there would be a significant difference in impact.

Thanks Jonathan, I agree but the kudu would not cooperate. He moved away from us.

    Thanks again,

    Hi Rachel,
I like the profile view, shows off the patterns and different textures of the coat. The four visible legs gives a sense of movement and I also like habitat, light, and forward focused eyes and ears. The rider also adds a nice touch. I just like these kind of shots.

Hi Rachel, I like the bird on the Kudu. Nice and sharp. Agreed that the head and body angle isn't quite ideal, but it is not a deal breaker. Loi

Hi Rachel, interesting, you went for the wider option, I went tighter as you know, will post later to add breathing space between posts.

I like the pronounced body form and muscular shape to the subject, having the Ox P is a nice touch. Not a lover of the green leaves creeping in at the foot of the frame, but nothing you could have done due to the shooting angle. Like the environment, gives context to the image. Interesting yours is warmer overall, mine is cooler.

Thanks Steve, Loi and Steve. Steve - I agree about the green at the bottom but it's much too tight to crop and as you know, I won't clone it out.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel

Hi Rachel, the light shows up the Kudu's hide nicely, and the eye looks great too. I quite like the HA, and yes, trying to capture the perfect pose from a moving animal is quite stressful - you know. I like your comp showing the enviroment, and his passenger, Mr Oxpecker adds to the image.
