An American Wigeon drake in not-quite-full breeding plumage, from last weekend in Cape May. Cloned out an oof Shoveler that was tagging along.

I love it when ducks appear to be happy like this Good basic image with solid techs and processing. I hope you also got some good ones of the shoveler (a species I have never been able to get close to).

Wonderful image, Bill. You captured all his unique colors under this soft light. Like the low angle and IQ.

Bill, I'm not sure you could have asked for much else here. The pose here is ideal, and you nailed it with the techs and your low POV.

Good work on the cloning. Did you happen to get a shoveler photo?

Thanks guys. Miguel and Daniel, yes I did get some Shoveler images, drake and hen. The drake is not in full breeding plumage. I'll post one in the coming days.
