I wish he was level with me but the view is a bit looking up. The light was nice as the early morning sun had a nice glow to it. More of a shot to show the species rather than a shot with a larger artistic merit.

Yes would be nice to have the vulture at your level for the ideal perspective but still a great record of this species Dvir. The warm light does enhance the image.
Great light and a lovely study of this vulture. I like the clear view of the feet and the mossy perch he is standing on.
Agree that being eye level would have been nice but it is what it is!!
I would tone down the bright branch in front of the vultures breast,

I'm not sure you could have asked for a better perch.
The background is just a tad busy in contrast (I quite like the inclusion of the blue sky though), so I might consider toning down the highlights and bringing up the shadows on the background alone. That might give it a more 'even' look.
Not your average vulture setting that is for sure. Yes to a steep angle, and yes to a busy BG...perhaps photographing with a wide open aperture would have helped a bit with that.
