Default 1000th post! Mockingbird and Chicks

This is my 1000th post! Photographed late yesterday.........this nest is right outside my dining room window in a blue spruce! 2 feet from the house. Heard the chicks squeeking start the day before........I opened the window just enough to get the camera angle into the nest. I was approximately 6 feet away with the blinds drawn over the rest of window and place cardboard over the rest of the side opening basically creating a blind out of my house! They feed non stop! Canon Mark 3 with the Sigma 180mm macro and the MT 24 twin lights at minus 1 at ISO 1600 at f11 and 1/100th sec. As you can imagine.............it's dark within the spruce.............this is a slight crop from top and both sides.........& ran Noise Ninja on it!

Question??? Do you think I should "clean up" some of the stray nest twigs???

As always comments welcomed and appreciated.

Congratulations on your milestoe, and thanks for all you do for BPN, very much appreciated :)

Precious and priceless, it would make a great Holiday greeting card. The Spruce's needel really make a great set up for the family.

Great image Roman, love all the eye contact! I like it as is, dont bother with the twigs, its a nest! Maybe darken the lower left corner a little with curves and a mask, other than that, looks great to me.
    Congrats!

Mazel tov on 1,000. Your presence at BPN has been a huge plus and is greatly appreciated (even though I love to bust you every chance that I get!). As for the image, it is spectacular. Love the three perfect head angles on the little beggars. Is there a 4th chick in there somewhere???

ps: Forgot to mention--perfect framing and not too tight!

    Hi All,
Thanks for the feedback. I do enjoy being a part of BPN..........even as a moderator I learn and get so much out of it.........even you busting me Artie :D ! No 4th chick to answer your question..........originally I did think so........... that part of the underside of the wing did look like another eye. .........& see.........I do listen about crops........most of the time ;) ! I'm still not swithcing to AV though :D ! Even if I do have to make 15 clicks........I'll exercise the speed dial finger more!
    Thanks again!

I love this one, Roman. Perfect pose. It's so nice that you can observe the nest without disturbing the birds.
