Another just before dusk shots ,a visit from the male on a rather windy but mild night ,Canon 1D MKIV 300MM F4 1/160 SEC ISO 800 -33EV Little owl 18th October 2014 by den9112, on Flickr
Super capture full of great details and colors. Love seeing the prey! I have made a couple of changes with respect to straightening the horizon (with the eyes) and recropping.
Hi, I did state the fact in some of my first images I posted when I first joined that I have a regular site that I have been watching observing and photographing for nearly 10 years now , and out of the three sites I have little owls this is the only site were I bait the Birds ,the other sites are yet to set up but time does not allow for me to do that as I do work full time ,my regular site as two birds in the the same territory ,literally yards apart, they do not rely on me for food and neither do I set up and charge people for workshop images ,even though I have been asked hundreds of times over the years ,and some requests from well known professional wildlife photographers,i also only have a 300mm f4 and a 400mm 5.6 so getting very close to these birds was something I have had to develop over the years, they are in no way concerned about me being in the territory...i will post a pic of two owlets from another site (non baited) were i am 10 feet away from the birds were baiting is not needed ...hope this helps
