    Default American Bittern

I went to the wetlands at Circle B Bar Reserve this morning where I captured this image. I am beginning to see Bitterns now. This one took flight out of the grass and crossed the trail I was on. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

This is one heck of a bittern flight shot and not an easy shot to capture. Nice wing position. The bird is nice and sharp. Love those talons! The only thing I wish is that the bittern were flying a tad more toward the viewer.

Thank you Marina. I hear you regarding the angle of flight but it was trying to move away from me. This is the best angle from the series. Thank you for commenting.

Very good flight shot Joseph. I can see more 'in focus' on the talons than on the head. Overall a great capture. Well done

That's one **** of a tough species to get a decent flight image like this of....at least in my neck of the woods. Great image sir.

Excellent to capture this. Don't see many like this on BPN. TFS.

Although he's flying slightly away, I'd be tickled pink to get a Bittern in flight like this. Good light and nice detail. Don't know if you can tweak just a little bit more sharpness out of the head?

Thank you all for viewing and commenting. I shall work on tweaking a little more sharpening on the head. Thanks again, very much appreciated.
