    From Barnegat jetty this past April. As strikingly beautiful as the males are, I think the females are equally attractive. C&C welcome.

    D3s, Nikon 500mm + 1.4 tc, 1/1000, f 6.3, ISO 800, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    This is a wonderful portrait.
    IQ is excellent and I love the subdued, soft color palette.
    I like the crop and composition you chose.
    Has a nice pensive feel to it.

    I like the compositon and gray BG. Sharp. Perhaps a slight contrast boost would be good.

    Beautiful shot! Really love that soft blue background, compliments the bird nicely.
