    Hi, Sanjeev

It would probably make me nervous to be close enough to get this with your 200mm! You might consider bringing up highlights on his face which is a bit in the shade. Upper BG is a bit distracting, IMO, but think lion's position in the frame works well, so I wouldn't change that. TFS

True looking Kruger Lion. Lovely clean surroundings and the dappled light has been nicely handled. if you have done anything to the eyes maybe just back off a touch as they seem very light. Nice one Sanjeev!

Dumay, yes I did lighten the eyes just a tad, will tune it down a little. Thanks for the suggestion. Ian, I had got some shots at 700mm of the same chap, then we moved in very slowly and got fairly close to him!

Lovely male! You might consider cropping some off the top to just below your signature to remove some of those distracting bright areas. It would be nice to crop all the way down to the rocks but I think that would make the image too narrow.

Hi Sanjeev - nice big male and I think I know the area where the image was taken. I like the wide view and the river bed location. I agree that a pano comp with a crop from the top to the rocks would work as an alternative. Good suggestion by Dumay too. There's some blue and cyan coming in in the rocks and the front paws, an easy fix. If it were mine, I would also reduce the reds a little. And even I would clone out the highlight or whatever the small white blob is in the lower left corner.

    Rachel

Hi Sanjeev, I think now you can tell without looking at the techs, which camera you used.

Overall it's a nice image and great to see a different location for the King of beasts, illustrates the diversity & habitat well. Crop & framing work well, and Dumay raised a good point, but have you also 'lifted' the mane around the chest, looks a bit noisy/crunchy? Hadn't realised you were near Kings, I think we know that area Rachel , was this close to the camp? I wonder if tho was one of the two males we encountered eating the Buff?

Hi Sanjeev - very nice pose and techs. I agree on the BG being slightly distracting, but the position of the subject works well. My first impression when I opened the image was also the mane and face being a bit crunchy; not a big nit.
