Very nice looking frame Grace. The incoming banking pose looks great and the perfect exposure gives us a nice look at the feather details. Love the longer pointed deck feathers. A beautiful colorful BG that shows the natural tundra habitat well. Great work.

Beautiful wing position against a soft BG with complementary colors, Grace. If it were mine I would have raised the shadows just a tad in the eye region but it's not too serious. Nice one, well done!
You've produced an amazing image here, Grace. Love the flight position on your bird...the way it shows off the tail, the topside view and the wonderful HA. The pop of color created by the wildflowers really makes this image stand out. Well seen and executed.
Super shot, Grace. Wonderful flight pose with good detail, terrific habitat with the magenta flower in just the right place. As Marina said, the dorsal view gives a great look at his signature pointed central tail feathers.
Stunning flight shot, Grace.
Over here these are called Arctic Skuas. And they are incredibly fast and difficult to photograph in flight - so you have done very well to capture this one.
Delightful image with lots of great detail and a super background.
Thanks for sharing!
That is a real beauty lovely pose and background, (when I saw it I thought it was an Arctic Skua - I wondered what a parasitic jaeger was! )
Excellent image. The banking pose, background with hint of tundra habitat, processing. All spot on and make for a highly appealing image.
Great flight angle and BG...Very nice Grace!
Wonderful flight image, the background is special. Thank you for sharing.

Beauty Grace. Love the pink flowers and banking pose. I wonder if you could lighten the eye area a tiny little bit?
Well done!
Gail
Fantastic image Grace, I really like the colours. Well done![]()
Grace this really is very good, love the bg showing the habitat.

Sweeet! The lay of the land and or your elevated shooting position works really here! Those purple flowers pop in such a nice way. I like the overall muted colors. Was this close to a nest site?....and if so, how close did it buzz you?
Thanks to everyone who looked and commented on my image. Gerald, I appreciate you telling me that these are also called Arctic Skuas. I like that name more than "Parasitic" Jaeger. Gail, I already did lighten that eye area a bit and dodged the light in the pupil. Hate to press it much further because the feathers around the eye are darker than the rest of the head and I try to remain true to what the bird actually looks like but I do see your point. And Shawn, there was a nest in the vacinity, but we did not know where at this point. I would estimate that we were 150 yards away from it. (Maybe more) We didn't push it.

Excellent flight shot Grace, sharp with nice details, good wing position and a pleasing BG. Congrats
