    Default Female Leopard (Scotia)

This was a first sighting of this female for about 2 weeks after she moved her den sight with her two eight/ten week old cubs (At the time). We were quite concerned about where she had gone. After this sighting we didn't see her again for about a week and she then led one of our guys back to the new den. And I finally got to see them. I still don't have a good shot of the cubs but hopefully soon.
I love the way she sits like this for a while looking around before she starts moving again.

Hi Dumay - always a pleasure to see these guys here. Nicely framed and IQ is good as per usual. My eye does tend to wander to what looks like oof ele dung but not a big deal. TFS - Either you on a break or back for leave

Dumay, superb pose, nice clean surroundings without clatter. Nicely processed as well. TFS.

    Dumay,

She looks so serene; I like how she stands out in that soft light.

Hi Dumay - She looks good and so does the image. Nice pose and soft light. The vertical comp works well. We spent a morning with her and JP thought she was scouting for a den site to give birth. They thought the leading contender was the rocks below camp because I guess she had used it for prior litters. Do you know if that is where she chose?

    TFS,
    Rachel

Classic 'cat pose', Dumay! I love that semi-focussed stare - looking at her ears she was probably more focussed on sounds from all around her. Lovely animal well captured!

Hi Dumay, she still looks gorgeous, have been following her movements over the last few weeks, great to see her again.

Nice, classic pose & portrait, I like the 'just' slightly off centre position and the H/A, plus the eyes also have just that hint of light in/on them too. Personal choice, but I might address the darker elephant dung (?) in the BKG and a sliver off the top. Getting to shoot her seems from recollection, very much on HER terms, LOL.

    Thanks for the comments guys.
Rachel, she had her cubs on the Lion Sands property and they are still there. She has had 3 separate den sites now that we know of. The cubs are moving around lot more now so the guys are seeing them moving further away from the den
Steve, you are right she moves a lot and she doesn't move a lot on the roads. She likes to stop ad pose like this for a minute or two, looks around and then moves on again and then again within the next 5 minutes she will stop and pose again...and so it goes on.
