    Default ID of this bird

I saw two of these on a neighbour's roof.
I think that it is a Yellow Wagtail, which is a migrant to the UK.

Hi Mike, you need to be a paying member to be able to upload an image, otherwise you need to link from another site (such as flickr, or photobucket for example). I can't see your image even when clicking the link you posted...can't wait to see it!

    Hello
The host id DPReview and I think I pasted a Large version of the image

PS The Cormorant does not show in my screen, the link just gives the associated XML.
It is possible that the link referred to a https and why it is a problem

First, I am FAR from competent on wagtail ID, but I have seen several species. This bird looks very slim, the tail looks very long, and the amount of gray on the face seems like too much for Yellow (of this subspecies I have seen ... but they're very complicated little buggers with many subspecies). You might compare this bird to photos of Gray Wagtail.

    Hi Mike
I think this is definitely a Grey wagtail rather than Yellow. These are quite common especaiily around the UK's rivers. Yellow wagtails are virtually all Yellow and do not have the grey head.

    Hope this helps

    Hello

    Thanks for taking the trouble.
I do agree with you. I remembered that I had some Grey Wagtail pictures taken along the Grand Union in Rickmansworth.
I compared and concluded that they were Grey Wagtails. I have never seen them here before or since.
    Mike
