This little fella made it through the first round auditions for the upcoming 2014 Christmas Tree ornaments selection. Photographed from my car as a blind. Audio used.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/200s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, FF image, usual eye work, a couple of brighter highlights in the branches and BG toned down.

Nice clear shot of a beautiful bird Daniel! The needle-like leaves nicely complement the bird's feather patterns!

Awesome feather detail, nice contrasting & complementary environs. Great techs and technique as usual. TFS.

Upon viewing thought the same Xmas theme as well Daniel, very nice, and it's that habitat & framing that really makes this for me, well done.

Very nice indeed, love the plumage fine detail, the pine needles seem to be ideally suited, all colours well balanced, a very pleasing shot.

Gorgeous! You have the perfect framing for a red bow on his head.
